Helping Somers Town residents tackle the climate emergency and create a fairer future for everyone.
Somers Town would like to invite you to the following workshops to help create a long-term plan for Somers Town as part of the Mayor of London’s Future Neighbourhoods 2030 programme.
Why are they doing this?
It is the chance to decide and put down on paper, how everyone wants Somers Town to be in the future and how the things they do in Somers Town could help to tackle the climate crisis. They believe that the climate crisis is a human rights issue, so at the heart of the conversation they have placed the fundamental rights to life, health, food, housing, water & sanitation, education and development.
The workshops will be as follows:
Rights to Life, Food and Health
Session 1 – Location TBC 17th November 12pm to 3pm The session will look at the rights to life, the rights to health and the rights to food.
Session 2 – at The Living Centre 24th November 12pm to 3pm The follow up session will look to come up with some local actions around life, health and food to place in the strategy so that they
can better address the challenges locally.
