Bringing people together: BBQ success with Speedwell House and Court Customers

In July, our Customers from Speedwell House and Speedwell Court enjoyed a lively summer BBQ, organised to bring people together across our retirement and supported housing schemes.

More than 25 residents attended the event, which saw Customers enjoying a warm afternoon filled with food, music, and conversation. The BBQ was planned and led by Amba-Rae Batten from Speedwell House, whose dedication and planning made the day possible.

Food was prepared by Roger Charles, Team leader aka Chef Roger, who took charge of the cooking and treated everyone to homemade burgers, chicken kebabs, fresh salads, and a selection of veggie options.

The event was a great example of how shared experiences can help build connection and community across our homes. We’re proud our colleagues work hard to plan and support these activities that bring a smile to everyone’s faces and help build stronger communities.
