Our community fund has grants of up to £2,000 available to bring community projects, events or activities to life and Youth Realities, a youth-led organisation which addresses teenage relationship abuse, received funding from the fund to run their Deepin Dance classes in Barnet. Watch the video below to see the dance classes in action and hear from Youth Realities' Managing Director and one of the class regulars on how the funding helped continue this important safe space where girls and young women can learn something new and build confidence.
Classes are for girls and young women aged between 11 and 25. They are completely free and take place every Friday from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at Unitas Youth Zone in between Colindale and Burnt Oak.
Our community fund is still open for applications, with a fast-tracked application form for any residents applying for £500 and under. Find out more and apply here: https://originhousing.org.uk/community/get-involved/community-funding
