Intermediate rent for keyworkers and young professionals
Intermediate rent allows you to rent a home at less than the market rent. This is normally 20% lower than what you would expect to pay for a similar home in a similar area if you were renting from a private landlord. This housing is available to people who are employed and meet the required income thresholds.
Our intermediate rent developments
We offer properties at intermediate rent at four developments near the following hospitals:
- Lister Hospital in Stevenage,
- Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Welwyn Gd City (Birch Court),
- Watford General Hospital.
Who qualifies for keyworker accommodation?
If you are working at one of the hospitals listed above you are first in line for accommodation in our keyworker accommodation. If interested, you can apply directly to us by choosing the scheme you are interested in from the left-hand-side menu and filling out the form on that page.
What if I don't work in any of the above hospitals?
Even if you don't work in the above-listed hospitals, you may still qualify to apply for our intermediate-rent properties. While NHS workers have priority, when we have spaces available we may offer them to other applicants registered with us.
In order to qualify:
- you need to be employed or self-employed,
- you need to have enough money to pay rent and the required deposit,
- your household income must be no higher than £71,000 in Inner London and no higher than £60,000 in Outer London.
Please see individual schemes for additional site-specific eligibility criteria.
How do I apply?
Please choose a scheme that you are interested in from the menu on the left-hand side and apply using the form on the page.
Application progress
Due to a high volume of enquiries, you will only be contacted if we have a suitable property available.
If you have not heard from us, you will be added to our waiting list and one of our dedicated team will be in touch with you once a property that meets your criteria is available.
